Airport Airside Planning

OTC’s efficient, optimal airside planning leads to airports that require less land, consume less energy, and produce less pollution, while still maintaining flexibility and safeguarding for expandability.

The airside of an airport is, first and foremost, a precisely defined aircraft circulation and maneuvering system, prescribed by regulatory bodies such as ICAO and EASA. But it is also the connective tissue linking the airport’s various functional zones.

Closer to the passenger terminal, OTC’s creative airside planning is carefully coordinated with the planning of the terminal itself, arranging aircraft stands, service roads, GSE areas and other facilities in ways that achieve not only efficient airside operations, but also shorter passenger walking distances and better distribution of spaces inside the terminal, leading to a higher level of service.
