Airport Express and In-Town Check-In Terminal

OTC developed concept designs for the Toudong Road Station, the terminus of Metro Line 6 linking the city center with the new Kunming Changshui International Airport. The station includes an in-town check-in facility, with up to 22 airline counters and baggage handling facilities.
The intermodal hub planning sought to provide an airport-like passenger experience, including a high-level-of-service interchange with 2 additional Metro lines (Lines 1 and 2), local buses, coaches, taxis, and private cars, for both arriving and departing passengers. Several options were developed, exploring various degrees of integration with the surrounding commercial development and different arrangements of the check-in hall and vertical circulation.
