OTC developed planning concepts for this facility to be located at the Hong Kong landing of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge (HZMB), combined with a Border Crossing Facility (BCF), next to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). The facilities included a passenger intermodal transfer facility allowing a bonded connection for Mainland and Macau passengers coming by coach, private car, ferry or the express rail link to Shenzhen Airport (ARL), with direct link to flights operating at HKIA. Is also proposed a consolidated government inspection facility (CIQ) serving all modalities.
Additional links supported bonded freight movement between HZMB, the Marine Cargo Terminal, a bonded logistics area, and the air cargo area at HKIA.
