MRT/BRT Station Integration

OTC developed concept designs for the intermodal expansion of Ortigas and Guadalupe stations on Manila’s MRT-3 rail line in anticipation of new, complementary BRT services sharing the same corridor. OTC’s transport station planning concepts expanded and updated the existing infrastructure in order to provide convenient pedestrian access and maximize integration of the rail and BRT services with adjacent modes, including coaches, jeepnies and ferries, by adding and reorganizing station entrances and exits, queuing arrangements, security provisions, and boarding areas, while making the stations universally accessible.
