OTC developed concept planning and design alternatives for water transport terminals as part of an overall water transport master plan for Dubai, to be implemented in phases until 2030.
To address varying site conditions, capacity requirements, intermodality, and phased construction demands across the many terminals included in the master plan, OTC developed an innovative modular transport station planning and design concept, which ensures terminal facilities are balanced against berthing facilities and provides a consistent framework for planning, design and cost-estimating. OTC also explored various modular architectural systems consistent with the planning modules, providing a menu of cost-effective and flexible solutions.
