Indios Verdes Intermodal Hub (CETRAM)

Mexico City, Mexico

OTC developed the mobility master plan and concept design for the redevelopment of CETRAM Indios Verdes, the second-busiest intermodal hub in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area. Almost one million passengers will pass through the expanded facility each day, transferring between the terminus of Metro Line 3; Metrobús (BRT) Lines 1 and 7; Mexibús (BRT) Line 4; the terminus of Cablebus Line 1; and numerous buses, microbuses, and vans that serve communities in the northern parts of the city.

OTC’s design features direct, safe and convenient passenger transfer routes, efficient bus operations, and safeguards for future shifts in the transit mode splits. OTC also developed operational phasing plans, striving to maintain capacity and passenger level of service throughout the complicated construction program.
